Bugging In and Bugging Out:
Volume 1 by David E Crossley
Whether you are
isolated by a heavy snow fall or flood, cut off from
mains supplies by fallen power lines and burst water
pipes, unable to get essential supplies because of
fuel shortages or a financial crisis, confined to
home by a pandemic or terrorist bomb, or forced to
flee by imminent disaster, the only people you can
rely on for your survival are you and yours.
In this book David leads you through all the
preparations you need to make and measures you will
need to take to care for yourself, your family and
even your pets whether the situation lasts for hours
or months.
Based on over 30 years of professional
experience, the information is provided in a
practical but very readable way and although it is
applicable to most places in the world, unlike most
of the genre it written with a British and European
readership very much in mind. If you want to be
prepared, this is the book you need to read.
Bugging In and Bugging Out:
Volume 2: Bugging In by David E Crossley
"This is a well planned
and thoughtfully written book. It is easy to read
and comes with a 'no nonsense' approach, which makes
it a pleasure to refer to. There are some brilliant
tips which make you plan just that little extra,
enabling you to take your plans in a more focused
direction. Whilst I have my own opinions and
methods, which may differ to some of the content, I
still learned plenty and re-visited my original
contingencies. It is also refreshing to that the
author comes across from experience without coming
across as egotistical, which is where so many other
simply irritate me... It is also pleasant that there
are not pages regarding on what webbing is best for
the AK-47 and how long my beard should be.
"I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who
aspires to this as a lifestyle or would simply like
to make a few plans to look out for their family in
the future."
Bugging In and Bugging Out:
Volume 3 by Mr David E Crossley
"Most of the books
on prepping that I've read have been by American
authors but at long last this is what I've been
waiting for! A Prepping book for Brits by a Brit,
and what a book! Of all of those I've read this is
definitely the most comprehensive, clear and useful.
There's no bluster, no posing, just clearly written
information by somebody who has been doing for over
40 years all of the stuff I want to do and know
about.
Some of it is scarily blunt, but that's because
there are parts of prepping that can be scary. But
I'm a practical sort of bloke, I'm a cooper, I make
barrels, and garden furniture and plant holders and
the like using the same methods as I use for
barrels, so I like it when somebody speaks or writes
in clear English and sticks to thee point like this.
You end up better informed for it.
I wish Mr Crossley had written this a while ago,
it would have saved me money on both books and gear
I bought that turned out to be rubbish or too
expensive for what I got. If you're getting into
prepping, wherever you live, BUY THIS BOOK FIRST!
Some other books might give you some information
specific to your country but I'd bet you'll get more
out of the things that are the same for all of us
everywhere out of this than any of the others."
Bugging Out and Relocating: When
Staying Put is not an Option by Fernando "Ferfal" Aguirre
“Bugging Out &
Relocating” is about what to do when staying is not
an option. House fires, floods, storms, war or
social collapse among countless other potential
disasters may leave you with no other option but to
leave. In his second book,
Fernando Aguirre again writes from his personal
experience and shares with the readers the research
and criteria he used himself when he decided to
leave everything behind. In this book you will find
recommended countries, U.S. States and advice on
Bugging Out both locally and Abroad.
Street Survival Skills: Tips,
Tricks and Tactics for Modern Survival by Fernando "Ferfal" Aguirre
"After the
economic collapse of Argentina, Fernando Aguirre got
to see fist-hand what worked and what didn’t when it
came to Urban Survival and Preparedness. The
hyperinflation and riots were bad, but the daily
crime, violence, corruption and failing
infrastructure people had to endure for years
afterwards was a lot worse. Based on his experience,
Fernando explains in this book different tips,
tricks and tactics that work when everything else
fails."
"Street Survival Skills" focuses on the practical
side of preparedness:
Awareness.
Home and street security.
Everyday carry.
Blackouts.
Survival kits and weapons.
How to fight with a gun, knife, bare hands
or improvised weapons.
How to respond against a terrorist or mass
shooter, barricade doors or how to breach them.
How to stop a bleeding and carry a casualty.
Defensive Driving.
Food, cooking, home remedies
... and many others practical skills you
definitely want to know when times get tough!
As a practical urban survival skills manual or as
complement to Fernando's first book "The Modern
Survival Manual: Surviving the Economic Collapse",
"Street Survival Skills" is a must-have book in your
preparedness bookshelf.
